AI Safety Standard
How AnchorWellPress builds and evaluates AI-powered health tools
Last Updated: March 2026
Our Commitment
AnchorWellPress is a physician-founded health technology platform. Every AI tool we offer undergoes rigorous evaluation before reaching users. We believe health AI must be safe, transparent, and clinically grounded.
CITE Evaluation Framework
All tools are evaluated using our Clinician-developer Independent Tool Evaluation (CITE) framework, which measures:
- Clinical Accuracy (CA): Scored 1-4 by independent clinician reviewers. Threshold: CA ≥ 3.0/4.0
- Competitive Viability (CV): Scored 1-4 measuring real-world utility vs. alternatives. Threshold: CV ≥ 2.5/4.0
- Safety Testing: Adversarial prompts, crisis detection, edge case evaluation
Tools that do not meet both thresholds are either held for improvement or retired. We have retired 4 tools and held 6 for further evaluation based on CITE results.
Safety Architecture
- Crisis Detection: Real-time monitoring of user input for crisis language, with immediate redirect to 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
- Emergency Symptom Override: Detection of potentially dangerous symptoms triggers a Call 911 prompt before any AI processing
- Input Sanitization: All user inputs are screened for prompt injection attempts and blocked patterns
- Data Disclosure: Users are informed of data handling practices before entering any information
- No Data Storage: User inputs are processed in real-time and not stored. No PHI is collected or retained
What Our Tools Do NOT Do
- Provide medical diagnoses or treatment recommendations
- Replace consultation with a licensed healthcare provider
- Store or share personal health information
- Claim physician oversight of AI-generated content (per California AB 489)
Independent Review
Our tools have been independently evaluated by licensed clinicians across two phases of review. Results, methodology, and limitations are documented in our peer-reviewed research submitted to the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association (JAMIA).
